Year 8 Yunion Taiko - Japanese Drumming Incursion

On Friday, March 6 2020 students studying Japanese Ml Year 8 wm have the oppot1unity to experience a performance of Japanese Taiko drumming by YUNION, followed by a workshop which wil take one period.

Students must come prepared for normal lessons for the remainder of the day. The sessions will be held in the school hall and all students must wear full school unifom.

Participation in this wortshop will supplement the mandatory Japanese language course by buidlng the students' knowledge and appreciation of Japanese culture..

YUNtON has visited Northmead CAPA High School In the past a.nd their performanc:e and workshops were thoroughly enjoyed by all. The performance and workshop introduces students to the power of Taiko drumming and Japanese culture. All students will have the opportunity to participate and learn basic rhythms and play a piece of music on the drums.
